Sustaining a Relationship

It appears to me that a lot of  couples these days, forget who they started out being. Many couples forget their roots. Once they start to live together, they seem to gradually lose the bonds that attracted them in the first place. Why is that?  Do we really change all that much?  I don't think so. So why the drift? Often we just get comfortable and lazy. So, how do we fix this you ask—by nipping it in the bud before it gets to the point of no return.

You should reflect on your relationship and what has changed—I bet there was a lot more teasing, kissing, fondling, and with the technology these days, a lot more texting too . Those early connections not only moved the relationship forward initially, they are also instrumental in keeping the relationship fresh now.  It all used to come so easy with the excitement of having a new partner - do we have to let that excitement die? For a long term relationship to succeed for the long term, a lot of work is required from both parties.  We often blame the failure on stress, stress at work, financial stress, etc., but this is not the real culprit here.  Many of the issues were probably the ones that made us closer in the first place.

If we are like most couples, we just get lazy. We get into our comfort zone, and let things deteriorate past the point of no return. Men for instance, start ogling more at other women, and making comments about how good looking they are, and they forget about the one their with.  Now, I am not putting any blame here - women can be guilty of this also. The point is we stop complimenting each other, and for the person at the other end of this scenario it can be quite a let down. We start to feel less adequate - less attractive. Most times were even afraid to say something for fear of upsetting the other person even though their actions have made us angry. Both men and women need to be fearless in expressing their disapproval, and faultless in absorbing and trying to understand the complaints.  We must always be sensitive to our partner's feelings - relationships take work, and when both partners work at it - it grows into a lasting romance. Here are a few things we can do to make our relationships stay healthy:

1) Go out of your way to complement your partner each day. It will make both of you feel good.
2) Love them and tell them that you love them. Never force them to assume that you love them
3) Men have to stop staring at other women – it may be conditioned by advertising, but it is just demeaning to your partner. And women need to think about comments that they may make about other guys.
4)  Honesty.....no one likes to be lied to so why do it. Tell each other everything, it will produce conversation
5) Have some alone time....every day make a little time whether its just a stroll, or snuggling up on the sofa to watch a movie
6) Talk to each other and make sure you bring up issues and work them through before they become an insurmountable obstacle.
7) Start your day off with a kiss and a statement that re-enforces your love and commitment to each other.
8) Be spontaneous- flirt with each other-  a little kissing on a stairwell before work can be rather sexy, and keep your partner thinking about you throughout the day
9) Don't be so serious...Laugh, smile, you know that saying “Partners that laugh together stay together” Its so true.....
10)  Make a point of never going to bed angry- whatever is bothering you talk it out, its not worth losing sleep over, and it starts your next day on a negative note. Make some time to snuggle when you get into bed....create a good night ritual. Some couples just get into their own sides of the bed, and that's it. I don't know about you, but  that is not my idea of a Good Night. Take a few moments to caress, and make going to sleep a wonderful thing knowing that you will be waking up beside your Prince or Princess in the morning.

Relationships are hard work but worth the effort. Keep at it so that your relationship becomes more play than work. When it becomes second nature to you, you have truly achieved the epiphany of satisfaction.

Maintaining A Healthy Relationship

It appears to me that a lot of  couples these days, forget who they started out being. Many couples forget their roots. After being together for a  few years or more they seem to lose that friendship that once bonded them together. Why is that?  As individuals do we really change that much?  I don't think so. So why then do we so often start to drift apart? Often we just get comfortable and lazy. To fix it, we have to inject new life into the mix.

Think about your relationship, and how you and your lover interacted when the relationship was new—likely there was there more kissing, touching, texting and bantering than now . Those early connections not only moved the relationship forward initially, they are also instrumental in keeping the relationship fresh now.  Who in their right minds would let that initial excitement die? For a long term relationship to succeed for the long term, a lot of work is required from both parties.  We often blame the failure on stress, stress at work, financial stress, etc., but this is not the real culprit here.  Many of the issues were probably the same ones we've  dealt with in the past that made us closer in the first place.

We fall into a pattern- we get lazy. Both partners get into their comfort zone, and let things go,and before you know it their at that point where they never thought they'd be. Men for instance, start ogling more at other women, and making comments about how good looking they are, and they forget about the one their with.  Women might take a look at the cute butt of some hot guy, and romanticize about them. The issue is that we start to neglect each other in small ways that end up being very significant in the long run. We start to feel less adequate - less attractive. Many times we do not want to bring up each small issue, for fear of looking like a nit picker, but the result is a cascading failure of the relationship as small issues continue to be swept under the carpet.

2) Tell them you love them --- sometimes we don't hear this enough
3) Men stop ogling and women stop checking out cute butts.
4)  Honesty.....no one likes to be lied to so why do it. Tell each other everything, it will produce conversation
5) Have some alone time....every day make a little time whether its just a stroll, or snuggling up on the sofa to watch a movie
6) Communicate- tell your partner how you feel, and work things out before they become worse than they are.
7) Always start your day off with a kiss, and a hug, and a good morning- it starts your day off on a positive note, and it feels real good too.
8) Be relaxed and do not be afraid of public displays of affection – some public kissing and tenderness will exhibit to the world how you care about your partner and broadcast to them that you love them and want to make sure that everyone knows it
9) Don't be so serious...Laugh, smile, you know that saying “Partners that laugh together stay together” Its so true.....
10)  Never go to bed angry – talk it out and work it out – the best thing for a relationship is a kiss before you go to sleep. The second best thing is sex before you go to sleep. You cannot have the second without the first.

Relationships are hard work but worth the effort. Keep at it so that your relationship becomes more play than work. When it becomes second nature to you, you have truly achieved the epiphany of satisfaction.

Exploring The Male G-Spot

The male orgasm can be an exciting experience, the major function of the male orgasm is the ejaculation, however not all men ejaculate with orgasm. The female orgasm is however still a bit of a debate as to why it happens, it is generally believed that it is to help the sperm proceed along on their journey toward the ovum (egg).

Most men out there are not at all familiar with their G-spot, some men don't know that they have one. Most of you will be surprised to learn that the male prostate is in fact the equivalent to the women's G-spot. Not many people out there are acquainted with this fact. It is also easier to find the male G-spot. For some people it may seem weird to explore that area, but if you keep an open mind about it you could experience the most fantastic orgasms you could ever hope to have.

FINDING THE MALE G-SPOT
Anatomy of the male reproductive and urinary systems; drawing shows front and side views of ureters, lymph nodes, rectum, bladder, prostate gland, vas deferens, penis, testicles, urethra, seminal vesicle, and ejaculatory duct.

The male G-spot is easy to find, however, it does require some tenacity. It is located below the bladder and in front of the rectum. Lying on your back seems to be the most favorable and comfortable position for this, so you will likely want to use a bed or a large sofa. The process will be easier if you have your legs elevated which you can do by having them hang over the back of the sofa or by leaning them against the wall behind the bed. Try putting a pillow under your derriere  to make it easier to reach the right spot. For first timers take your time and use a gel. Then gently insert a finger into the anus and probe gently, the prostrate gland has been reached when you come across the chestnut sized lump that is roughly about two inches inward.

If your partner is on his back your palm should be up, be sure your fingernails are not sharp, and be sure not to touch your own genital area with the same finger you used to penetrate your partners anus. Always remember that not all men like prostate stimulation just as some women love G-Spot stimulation and others find it uncomfortable. Once located and properly stimulated it will provide men with an orgasm that is more stimulating than they have ever had with regular sex.

Prostate milking as it is also called also enables the man to experience multiple orgasms that are longer in duration and gives them the ability to ejaculate without being sexually excited before hand. Orgasms achieved male G-Spot stimulation can be 400 percent more powerful and can actually last up to 5 minutes. Male G-spot stimulation produces a full body orgasm.

POINTS TO PONDER
Before you and your significant other begin anal g-spot manipulation, you should take the time to make sure you are relaxed and not just start up in the heat of the moment. Some people have a hot bath before they proceed. Use a finger to locate and stimulate the G-spot if unsure or you are a newbie to this, there are sexual devices you can obtain that can enhance your experience as well. You can also try different methods each time for variety. Practicing oral sex while stimulating the G-spot is one option.

SOME MISCONCEPTIONS

People often think that for a man to play with his own G-spot is weird and perverse, which is the main reason why it is seldom talked about. The truth is that prostate milking is as normal as having intercourse, it is not weird and kinky, and it is not gay. There is nothing  perverse about enjoying the pleasures of self prostrate masturbation. As a very powerful sex gland it can cause a very dynamic orgasm, and it is entirely normal to experiment with it.

“WARNING”

There are some risks associated with prostate milking if it is not done correctly|. Excessive force on the prostate gland can cause several problems such as Gangrene, Hemorrhoidal problems, Blood poisoning and Transferring prostate cancer to various parts of the body. The amount of recommended pressure on the G-spot is comparable to the amount of pressure you would use to rub your eyes with.

Let Go Of My Leg

A while back, I found myself all on my own again, after the father of my two children decided to leave us. For the next while, after finding a job, I had to work every day and look after my kids as best possible. Needless to say, my social life was non-existent. I had two good friends in similar circumstances who helped me through this period. We kept each other company on those lonely nights, eating crackers and cheese, drinking a little wine and indulging in fantasy talk about what kind of man we would like to meet. Of course we didn't really expect to meet our “Mr Perfect” anytime soon.

One day at work a friend and co-worker suggested that I try a new dating site that had just started up. Lets just cut to the chase and call it scumbags-r-us, if you get my subtle point. I met this moron, I mean man (loosely) in my first week on the site, he seemed smart, seemed articulate and humorous. As we chatted with each other over a few weeks, I let him know that I had not been with a man in quite a while, and needed to take things slow. I let him know upfront that I had two children because I wanted to be honest with him from the start, he informed me that he also had a child so it was no problem because he loved children. As a matter of fact, he told me that on his days off he spent most of his time playing with his son. So with all of this positive check marks in my rating column, I decided to take him up on an offer to go on a date.

Well on the evening of our date I ran around like headless chicken picking out clothes, picking up one of my friends who was going to babysit, getting my hair done (you know the whole nine yards thing) just to look my best for this hunk, at least that’s how he looked in his profile photo. My friend said to relax. I was coming across as needy and that always scares men off.  In retrospect, I sure wish that I had scared him off! So after collecting my self I went outside to wait for him as he was going to swing by and pick me up. Suddenly, there he was! I couldn't wait to get a look at that gorgeous muscular body, that thick blond hair and those beautiful green eyes. I bent over to say hi and was shocked senseless! I guess in that instant I hoped that somehow it was not him! But alas, he was my date. The real life image was such a letdown. I was actually in shock! I was so stunned that I just stood there like a dumb mute. Not knowing what else to do, I silently got into the car.

All the way to the restaurant, I kept looking at the rug on his head. It was so bad that it looked like something that was skinned off the ass of a cocker spaniel. Obviously it was not his picture on his profile, he certainly didn't have blond hair.  He didn't have any hair!  He was waring some kind of toupee and I think it was on backwards or inside out or something. He did not have green eyes like his picture. They were bloodshot, dark, and somewhat shifty. I didn't see any muscles either, he look like a crack addict. The top ranked restaurant that he promised to take me to ended up being slightly more upscale than a greasy spoon diner  I prayed that no one I knew would see me with this dork, not just for my own sake but because I did not think my children could ever live it down.

The waiter put us in a corner table. At least it had a table cloth and a candle for ambiance. The place was actually fairly decent on the inside. The waiters seemed competent and the decor was pretty nice all in all. I had the fish special with sweet potato fries and he had a rack of lamb with roasted potatoes. He had a bad case of roman hands and russian fingers if you get my drift. My hand was sore from slapping at him before the entree was served. He commented that a MILF like me had been without sex so long that they were hot to trot and really amazing in bed. I told him that any great sex that he thought might end the evening was not going to happen. After eating, he asked me to dance. This guy just had no clue that he had already lost the war. He kept trying to cop a feel of just about any part of my anatomy that was close to hand. On top of that, he seemed to think he could turn the evening around by impressing me with his slick dancing. He tried to jive with me. At one point his hand slipped out of mine and I stumbled into the bar. Well that was the last straw, as he approached me to see if I was alright I told him to stay away or I would scream. As I left the restaurant on my way to the hospital I let him know exactly what I thought of him, and let him know that I was getting a restraining order put on him to keep him away from me for good. I spent a few hours in the emergency ward nursing a broken nose.

That was the last time I took dating advice from anybody. I decided that I was going to spend more time making sure that any sites that I used were legitimate before joining them.

While I was researching dating sites, I stumbled across the following link, and it helped me zero in on the sites that I finally joined:

Fishing For Love In All The Wrong Places

As a single working women I was tired of coming home to an empty apartment and eating alone every night. With very little time to socialize, I decided to try one of those online dating sites. A friend of mine suggested Plenty Of Fish, the name should have tipped me off, but I was desperate so I gave it a try. I do not know about most areas, but where I come from there are not so many fish in the sea. At least not keepers.

My first date with anyone from POF was with a guy from France. On our first date, the only thing that he wanted to do was to go to his house for drinks. I wanted to get to know him better before going to his house. Besides, I was hungry. So I suggested we go someplace for some food. He very calmly sized me up and then said, “I am not interested in feeding your, I am only interested in having sex with you.” Well my response to that was, “Unless you want to be wearing your balls as a pair of earrings, take your filthy hands off me”.

My God, I could go on for many days telling you about the sleazy guys I met on plenty of fish. Men who are married, pigs or just perverted that will tell you anything to get you between the sheets. Then of course there are the borderline stalkers that call even after you tell them you are not interested. I do not get the mentality of some guys who think that by being excessively persistent you will somehow change your opinion of them. Sometimes even the threat of police action does not deter them. From my experiences, the site has so many abnormal personalities on it, I wonder if the penal system is allowing access to dating sites. Certainly a Lady Gaga video I have seen would suggest that POF is available from inside.

I have never seen a place before with such a concentration of liars and cheats. I met over two dozen men in person via plenty of fish in the months I was a member. Only one of them was worth going beyond a second date with, and it turned out that on the fourth date he drops the bombshell that he is an illegal alien and needs to get married to stay in the country. Others wanted me to go on web-cam so they could see what I really look like because they did not believe my profile photo. Can you imagine, they didn't believe what I looked like when most of them looked nothing like their photo. POF does have its good points I suppose. If you are of average or even a bit below average in the looks department, you will get more than your fair share of attention.

The last straw for me with POF came when I made a date with a so called registered accountant, who by the way lives in a first class condo in down town New York. Everything was great. He took me to a top of the line restaurant. After questioning my tastes in food, he ordered for me, which was quite different than what most men would do. He ordered a really nice Pinot Grigio to go with our meals. We gone back to his place and he was a real gentlemen, we talked, laughed and snuggled.  Just when I thought I had broken my POF curse, the inevitable happened. The creep got around to telling me that he wanted me to prance around his apartment naked wearing nothing but a horse tail butt plug. Well after yelling at him a bit, using words like creep, pervert, twisted, and I forget what all else, I smacked him with my purse and galloped right out the door.

It was then I realized that POF was not for me and deleted my profile. I was so discouraged about this site that I vowed I would never again use a free dating site of any sort. My friend, being the pal that she was, did a bunch of searching on her own and said that she found a link with a bunch of recommended dating sites on it. She twisted my arm a bit and got me to at least check it out to see if I could find a better place than POF. When I got there I viewed it with a lot of skepticism, but once I realized the POF was not on their recommended list, they gained a bit in my esteem.  I was also surprised to find that eharmony was not there either – with all the ads on TV I had seen, they were the one I was going to try next, but they were just so darn expensive. After checking out some of the sites on one of their category pages, I signed up to a couple. I had decided that by spreading my profile farther afield that it would make it easier to just delete it from one of the sites. Best move I ever made. Now I am meeting decent men who are not looking for a bed buddy, but are genuinely looking for serious long term relationships. My happiness index has gone up a few points since then because I now have a social life again. What a nice change!

Most dating sites are not bad, although the totally free ones tend to attract more riffraff I am told. Even the best dating sites will have a few bad apples in them. You have to be on your guard anywhere. With internet dating you have to practice safe hex before you practice safe sex. Many sites are excellent at deleting the accounts of freaks and weirdos, but even the best have some zany characters haunting them. You have to be careful with your personal information, and remember, if you have any doubts about the person, do not agree to meet them.

So visit the link below. It has some great advice for online dating as well as lists of recommended dating sites. I think you will find what your looking for just like me. Good luck.

I Found Love On My Computer

I was a recently divorced single woman in my early 50's and I like so many of my friends turned to  online dating for a solution. Because of my age, I really didn't think I had much of a chance of meeting  anyone online. I actually was not even going to try online dating, but my friends and sisters sort of twisted my arm to do it. I made my profile, and had my sisters pick out some of the best photos of me. Then I had one of my friends post my picture on my profile since I didn’t know anything about posting stuff online. In any event, once finished with all of that I just sat back and mostly waited. I had no idea how these dating sites worked. I mean, I browsed around and looked at some men's profiles, and was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of guys my age, but I just felt it was too forward of me to contact them first.

The next day I had over a dozen emails in my inbox. I could not believe it. It was pretty exciting.  Some of that excitement ebbed a bit when I read some of them. I cannot believe the stupidity of some men. However a couple were quite interesting and I replied to them. If I got to the point that I wanted to meet in person I made sure that I met everyone at a nice restaurant down the street from where I worked. Since I knew some of the staff, I felt safer there than any other place I could think of. It was exciting, but it was exhausting.  Learning so much information about so many people and keeping it all straight in your head is tough work.Interacting with all of these men was exciting, but it was mentally exhausting as well. Keeping them all straight was difficult. I finally resorted to opening a diary for each on my computer and reviewing it before I talked to each of them. It was lots of work, but I kept at it. I started questioning if I could keep up the pace, but I was determined not to spend much more of my life by myself, so I kept at it.

I felt most comfortable in my life being part of a long term relationship. I thrived on that and really wanted to find someone to have in my life again. After all that activity, one man really piqued my interest. He had a way of wording things in his emails that I found refreshing from the rest of the men. He was concise, yet managed to be articulate at the same time. It showed that he thought about what he wrote about before committing it to words. So much better than the random blathering that I got from most other people. It even showed in his profile which left me with the impression that he was someone well educated, who was not ego centric. He seemed to be really in touch with the so called “feminine side” of himself. I was surprised about how often he asked me how I felt about things. When you talk to most men about things that are troubling you, they instantly try to tell you how to fix it. He was not like that. He would often talk to me for a long time delving into my feelings about things before ever venturing an opinion. My first instinct was that he was gay and just pulling my leg, but I later realized that hew was the genuine article. He was just a very caring person who believed that women were not second class citizens. He told me that he had not always been so open minded, but he had spent many years in Europe, and had seen what can happen when people let outside cultures influence society's mores. He had been transferred back to our city fairly recently.

I had traveled to Europe several times. On top of this, we both shared a love of most winter sports. We often chatted about our impression of various cities, and which ski resorts did we like the best.  His profile had no picture on it, so at no point in our early interactions was I chasing a pretty face. It was his communication ability and points of view that won my respect. When he later emailed me a picture of himself, I was not disappointed. When we first decided to talk over the phone, I was nervous about giving him my number. I convinced him to give me his instead. He gave me his number but I was actually too scared to call at first. After several days I finally got enough courage to call, and I'm glad I did.

“He was fantastic, charming so sweet and such a gentleman.|He was just so amazing. In real life he was even better than online. So sweet, and always a gentleman.|He turned out to be an incredibly sweet and charming guy. Always a gentleman. For that first date we met at a nice little restaurant that we were both familiar with. I got there first, worried that it would make me look needy, but I could not help myself. I am compulsive about being early to everything. My biggest concern was that we would not click. As I looked towards the door, in walked this gorgeous hunk of a man. Before he came over, he looked at me from across the room. As he stood there, I absorbed the fact that he had dark hair, almost black, with just a touch of gray at the temples. Almost like professor X in the Xmen comics. I was in complete awe. We talked and laughed and shared some personal stories. Time was streaming by but I could not stop it. I did not want it to have to end. The meal would not last long enough for me. I was having too good a time.  We left after he paid the bill. I noticed that he left a nice tip as well. He kissed me when we got to my house. As he drove away, I sighed. Everything was just too good to be true. The chemistry for me had been instantaneous. I already knew that he was the one.

We had several more dates after that, and it seemed that every date was better then the one before. But something began to bother me. I had not been exactly truthful about my age in my profile. My friends had convinced me to exaggerate a little. Just take a few years off and when he finds out later, well maybe it won't matter. I put my age as 51 but in fact I was 54, “not a big deal I know”, but most people, even guys, don't like to be lied to and will wonder what else you've lied about. I decided to tell him the truth when I felt the time was right.

We went to a small bar one evening for a drink. The waiter asked me for proof of age with a smile on his face. I just knew that my honey Max had put him up to it. To play into the joke, I pulled out my license to show him and we all laughed when he pretended to scrutinize it really closely. Max asked if he could see my license and I just passed it over without a thought. He said, “Holy cow, you're fifty four!” I just sat there not knowing what to say. Then he started laughing like an idiot! When I asked what was so funny, he said that the joke was on him. He had lied about his age as well. As it turned out he was older than he stated in his profile. It seems he's two years older than me and not two years younger. We laughed about the fact that we had both caught each other out.

We had dated for six months or so. Late one night he called me and woke me up from this sensual dream I was having about us. He just had to tell me something right that moment and was not something that he wanted to discuss on the phone. He wanted to come over immediately. Half an hour later he came in, sat down and said, “I have something to say to you that can't be put off any longer.” I thought to myself, “Oh God this can't be good.”

I braced myself for the worst, even opening a box of Kleenex because I was sure I was going to need them. Well I needed them, but in a good way. He got down on one knee, told me I was the best thing that had ever happened to him, that he had been waiting all of his life to find me, and asked me to marry him. I had to say yes. I mean what else could I do. I was madly in love with him.

I have been married to Maxwell now for three years. It has been the most wonderful period of my life. My former marriage does not compare to what I have with Max. It is like being a new bride every day. And to think I found him on an online dating site. Someplace that I had thought of as a last chance place to meet someone!

So that is the story of Max and me. It is only the beginning. Maybe I will write a followup some day. If you have been loath to try Internet dating, you should give it a try. It is not all as rosy as I have depicted in my tale. I found that there were a lot of truly despicable characters on just about every site. But each site gives you tools that allow you to easily block them. When you block someone on a dating site, you cease to exist for them. They will never be able to find you in search results again. From their perspective, you no longer have an account on the site. I tell you that only because I have met a lot of women who stopped using dating sites because they ran into a few morons, and never spent any time learning how to deal with them. In any event, even with the negatives that you will find, I would recommend online dating to anyone.
Below I have posted a link to one of the resource sites that I used. The sites referenced there are some of the best and are well organized. There are so many to choose from you are sure to find what you want. Good luck in your search!

Relationship Health for Dummies

It appears to me that a lot of  couples these days, forget who they started out being. Many couples forget their roots.Once they become a couple, they often lose track of the reasons why they bonded in the first place. Why is that?  As individuals do we really change that much?  I don't think so. So why the drift? Often we just get comfortable and lazy. To fix it, we have to inject new life into the mix.
Think about your relationship, and how you and your lover interacted when the relationship was new—likely there was there more kissing, touching, texting and bantering than now . Sending those little love notes or messages to each other throughout the day does wonders in moving a relationship forward.  Why would we want to let that initial excitement die? Some relationships were never meant to last, but of those that are, it is important that we actively pursue success.

Men might check out other women and make complementary comments about them, all the while forgetting to compliment the one they are with.  Now, I am not putting any blame here - women can be guilty of this also. What often starts out as small moments of neglect cascade into a habit of inconsideration. We start to feel less adequate - less attractive. Many times we do not want to bring up each small issue, for fear of looking like a nit picker, but the result is a cascading failure of the relationship as small issues continue to be swept under the carpet.

2) Tell them you love them --- sometimes we don't hear this enough
3) Men, stop ogling—there's  no harm in looking, but lets get real here, is it necessary to ogle at every pretty face you see when you got the best thing right next to you. And yes, this goes for women also.
4)  Dishonesty is the root of all relationship dissension – make a habit of telling the truth, even if it might lead to embarrassing explanations.
5) Have some alone time....every day make a little time whether its just a stroll, or snuggling up on the sofa to watch a movie
6) Communicate- tell your partner how you feel, and work things out before they become worse than they are.
10)  Never go to bed angry – talk it out and work it out – the best thing for a relationship is a kiss before you go to sleep. The second best thing is sex before you go to sleep. You cannot have the second without the first.

Relationships all have their ups, and downs, but if you have heart, and desire to make it work it will blossom into something special. So, don't let that spark creep away- follow the above rules, and create some of your own a long the way....just have fun if you can dream about it then you can achieve it..

Understanding Sex Appeal

What is the je ne sais quas of sex appeal? The dictionary describes it as”the capability to attract sexual interest from others”, but dictionaries also describe sexy as being”attractive in a sexual way.” You might confuse the two as being the same, but you would be wrong, as you will see below.

Assume a man sees  a cute girl walking down the street wearing a mini skirt, and low cut top for visual impact.  He may trip over his tongue because she looks sexy, but does that mean she has sex appeal? While sexy and sex appeal are often blurry at the boundaries it is quite common to see someone as described above. So what do you have to do to get a more appreciative  look?

Men tend to focus on what is currently in front of their eyes, and there is lots of sexy eye candy to attract their short term attention. Sexy for the most part will always get attention, but unlike sex appeal it will never hold interest. Sexy is eye candy first and foremost, and will generally never amount to more than that.  Someone who dresses to grab attention can be sexy, but it will seldom if ever lead to more persistence of notice, and that is the difference here. Sexy is the whipped cream without the pie.

Sex appeal is more than just eye candy, it is more about having poise, and knowing your worth. When someone has these features they catch the eye of surrounding people. This magnetic glow makes those people around you feel good too. A woman with sex appeal will will command positive attention regardless of the attire. She knows that it's the woman that makes the clothes not the other way around. She instinctively dresses in a style that will always add to and not detract from the image that she portrays to the public. Women with sex appeal are always intelligent individuals  with a sense of humour, and who are comfortable with their own sexuality. Everyone knows a few people that are upbeat and positive even in adverse situations. It lets people know that they're fun to be with, and this is another trait of sex appeal.

Sex appeal holds its head high, it stands tall, and makes its presence known. Women with sex appeal appreciate you in spite of your faults, they  treat each relationship as a fresh new experience and do not expect people to behave like others, either positively or negatively. They compartmentalize their expectations of each acquaintance individually. Sex appeal generally emanates from positive outgoing people never run down, but rather talk up other people. All of this flows from them being the sensual and loving people that they are.

Now do you see the differences? It pretty much boils down to this-- if you have learned to love yourself, and others,  it will  emanate into sex appeal as, it is all about stature, personal development and image of yourself. Men will look at sexy—no doubt, but it takes the whole person to get into his head, and past the eyes.
